Open letter to Spike Lee
Dear Spike:
Just saw your movie "She Hate Me" and damn I'm disapointed. Not of your job of course (no homo) but of whateva clown you found to write the script. I hope you bought that script in a second hand shop in Baghdad because if you spent more than 30 bucks on it, you nothing more than a dumbass. C'mon man that dude scammed you. What the fuck is that concept "one heterosexual man, 18 lesbians, his fee $10'000...each" anyway. It sounds like one of those movie that lands directly in the adult entertainment section.
Don't get me wrong, the movie was beautifully made, the choice of the landscape, the way you filmed it, the shots of NYC, was all perfect. Well it's everything else that sucked. Let's start about the music which is rather teh ghey. It sounds like it's the same boring ass jazzy melody from the beginning to the end. Whether it's slow or they having sex, it's the same damn tune and it kills the mood.
Secondly, your main character was lame. He acts like he just woke up and don't understand why all those naked lesbian wanna screw him. Most of the other actors are just average and none of them really shine. Except maybe Jamel Debbouze. His role was plain hilarious so why in the hell did you gave him only 5 minute of screenplay? Is the tall Israeli that signs your paycheck the cause?
Oh and what about those animated scenes where you see spermatozoids assaulting that ovule? I counted 6 or 7 of them. Stupid the first time, embarrassing the 6th.
Your satire of the corrupt world of corporate America was interesting though. I liked the idea of how that cracka-ass cracka president of Progeia makes the life of Jack Armstrong a living hell but WHY did you tied up the story to the Watergate scandal. Nobody cares about that shit anymore Spike.
I could go on and on but you the guy who did the "25th Hour", "He Got Game", "Malcolm X" & "Do the Right Thing" so I won't burn you down buddy.
