Alex "Hitch" Hitchens is a playa, no doubt. He has the pick up lines, can read a woman's mind like an open book and knows how to please the opposite sex. Not only he uses his gift for personal pleasure but he made it his business. Well dressed in the latest fashion, Hitch is a legal pimp or ... a date doctor, either one, I don't remember.

WAOW. I don't usually like cute, pinky, romantic chick flick but I must admit that the story was fresh enough for me to lend an attentive eye to this movie. I just hoped that I wouldn't fall asleep during the movie. Last time I did that, I got my ass kicked by my angry señorita during Home Sweet Home Alabama...

Seriously, who else than Will Smith could have played this slick and charismatic Hitch (don't even think about Tom Cruise or I'll slap you in the face Walrus style)? In this role, the Prince of Bel Air shines one more time and never disappoints. He helps shy geeks make their way with ladies and it's hilarious. His last client is a challenge by itself. Albert Brennaman (Kevin James, incredibly funny) looks like the guy you bullied in high school: fat, kinda nerdy and always with an asthma spray in his pocket. As a small tax consultant for a big firm, he passes easily for a nobody to the eyes of the rich and famous Allegra Cole, a client of whom he is deadly in love. Hitch manages somewhat for Albert to get a date with his dream girl and they somewhat fall in love to each other. They live happily ever after and have plenty of children. The end.

Ooops, I did it again. I lied but that's just because I don't like the rest of the movie. I was never a fan of Eva Mendes. I personnaly don't care much about her acting. She is just not that good. Sure, she is hot in a skirt but that's pretty much it. The script doesn't help her and all along her screen time, I wanted to slap that byatch.

"So what?" will you ask me. Well I really liked this movie but only up to two third of it. The final act is straight bullshit Hollywood feel good ending and I hate that. Will Smith will, as always (no homo), make you laugh out loud at best and smile at worse. Eva Mendes is ... hot and nothing more while the other characters are all perfect. Finally, Hitch is a good romantic comedy that suffers from bad choices.
